Craft room makeover

This is my craft room before purchasing 17 Simply Built storage cubes. As you can see I had been using the wire dorm cubes, and they work great except that you can see everything. I decided there had to be a change. Soooooo heres the new look!.......................

I really like the look of the cubes but it seems I may need more to store the rest that sits in my cropper hopper and crate. But for now its a good start.

New purse

I decided there had to be a way to make other styles of bag from Duct tape. In a previous post you saw the 3 bags that are more tote like. I decided to try one with a flap over the top and a magnetic catch. It took a little planning and guessing but I think it turned out pretty well. This will come in handy as my new work purse . Being made of Duct tape makes it durable and cool, so all the tools I need to carry will be kept together. Check back for future styles.

This is another one of those last minute or I dont know what to get them gifts. It is a 5x7 acrylic photo frame that stands on its own. I just trimed the photo , mat it with whit cardstock and placed it on some Christmas paper. I also added a grungboard snowflake to the front after painting it blut with pearl paint dauber on top. I used red sharpie to write our Christmas wish on the front.

Last minute Holiday gifts

Usually every year I try to take the girls pictures to give for Christmas. This year Christmas just came up too fast. So I took one of the pictures that I had taken when doing Dusti's senior pictures to fill that need. So I bought some 2x2 square ceramic magnets at our local craft store. Then I covered those magnets with Claudine Hellmuth art gesso, purchased at Picture This to cover the exsisting design. While still wet I placed the photos already cut to size onto the magnet. Then when completely dry I heat embossed the whole top with clear emboss powder. Voila......instant gifts and a holiday photo.

Fish Face

This is Karli and her "fish" face. One night this summer we were at a resturaunt and they had a clown making balloon animals and painting faces. Karli chose the fish which turned out wonderful. Supplies include 12x12 paper Ink by Steph, "moonlight", leaves cut from card stock with sizzix die, fish cut with Spellbinders and Metals, and of course the awesome die cut made at Picture This.

Wonders of duct tape

These are some of the Duct tape bags that my girls and I are making for the holidays. Karli and I spent some time at our favorite scrapbook store with Barb and Paula tonite making these. I made the black and white and the brown and white , Karli made the blue and Tye dyed one, I think that one is my favorite.
